Las Tunas, Cuba.- Some 600 representatives of more than 18,000 members of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) in the province will follow the standard route in the block of the Agricultural and Forestry Trade Union with the slogan "Unity, Commitment and Victory".
Yoniel Peña Reyes, ANAP official in the territory, told the ACN that the International Workers' Day will be the last of the stay of the banner in the province, after having toured the municipalities of Colombia, Amancio, Las Tunas and Puerto Padre.
The Leningrado agricultural production cooperative, in Colombia, dedicated mainly to the cultivation of sugarcane, was the first point of the flag trip, on Sunday; and it was received later in the "26 de Julio" and the "Alianza Obrero-campesina", in Amancio.
In the municipality of Las Tunas it was received at the "Calixto Sarduy" cooperative, which earned the Fifth Crown, the highest category granted by the Urban Agriculture; and in Puerto Padre its tour included the "Asalto al Polvorín" cooperative and the José Martí Forest, a site of for the teaching of History and of encounter with nature.
The presence of the Bandera 60 Aniversario in Las Tunas has served to develop exchanges between young peasants and meetings between workers of the different agricultural productive forms.
After finalizing its presence in the province, the banner that began the tour of the nation on February 26th by Isla de la Juventud, will be received on May 2 at the Cristino Naranjo cooperative, in the municipality of Calixto García, in Holguín.
