The decision of the sugar producers to overcome in the 2019-2020 harvest the productive and efficiency results achieved in the previous one, needs that the personnel of the workshops leave ready, in time and form, more than 3,600 agricultural equipment that now are being repaired.

 

Las Tunas, Cuba.- In this regard, Osmany Santos Labrada, Principal Specialist of Workshops and Repairs in the Sugar Company, did not rule out the possibility that this could happen, because after a good start, the task proceeds as scheduled.

In fact, already 20 of the 143 combined cutter machines that will intervene in the harvest are ready, while another important group is in different stages of execution.

The purpose that encourages the technicians, mechanics and assistants who work in the repair centers, disseminated by the six Attention to Agricultural Workers Basic Business Units (BBU), is to receive the month of November with an improvement of the equipment fleet, as well as the 576 tractors, 405 wagons, 57 dump truck - equipment that unloads the cane cut by the combined cutters -, the means of assurance and sowing implements provided.

By then, the training process of the workforce that operates and serves both new and traditional technology equipment must be completed in order to maximize the potential capacity of each of them.

Together with this effort and in order to support import substitution, it is planned to manufacture and recover spare parts for a value exceeding 600 thousand pesos, especially in the June 14th Technical Services to Mechanization BBU (Azutecnia).
