Manatí, Las Tunas.- This factory will manufacture a series of new type sealed productions, in nylon, pot and can. Today we have all the machinery. In addition, the mini-industry is framed in the Dumañuecos Productive Pole, which guarantees the raw material for further processing," says Elcido Sariol López, director of the Food Basic Business Unit (UEB by its Spanish acronym).
The creation of this factory with advanced technology is achieved under the auspices of the Project for Strengthening Municipal Capacities for Local Development (Prodel by its Spanish acronym), which makes possible to fill the lack of productions related to canned food.

Abel Peña Alfonso, director of the Local Development Center, says that "The mini-industry has a staff able of producing 1.5 tons daily and has the necessary equipment to produce an important group of canned foods, because many of these productions previously had to be sold at a harvest peak."
Yorlaine Monteagudo Morales, director of the Integral Company of Food Industry in Las Tunas, said that with the new factory, today the province has seven micro-industries and a mini-industry located in the main municipality.
