"Colombia", Las Tunas.- The place is located about three kilometers from the main town. Sugarcane and agricultural production are the main economic activities. The permanence of the doctor and the family nurse, keeping child mortality in zero and achieving an environmental transformation of the place stand out among social issues.

At the meeting, it was known that the school is ready for the opening of the academic year on September 2nd. The roads and the situation with the water supply were improved, while at the same time they insisted on extreme hygienic-sanitary measures at this stage of intense heat and rains. Moreover, issues related to the organization for collection of solid waste and guarantee the cane volumes for the next harvest were discussed.

The first secretary of the Cuban Communist Party in Las Tunas, Manuel Pérez Gallego, congratulated the community for the results and urged to resist imperial aggressions, culminate a happy summer, apply cultural recreational alternatives and start the school year with all the necessary conditions.

A group of neighbors and schoolchildren who excelled in the evaluation period of the Community Work were recognized.
