Las Tunas, Cuba. – There, children were already waiting for them, because "they are from the house", as we say in good Cuban language, and their visits go beyond simple courtesy. Without many preambles, they rolled up their sleeves, prepared the equipment and began their work.
This time they came to paint the children's beds, to "make them pretty", as one of the group said; on other occasions, they have fixed the multi-furniture in the living room, the dining room set, the windows and the gas stove.
Sonia Hernández Silva, director of the Home, appreciates the unconditional support they receive constantly from the Club of Classic Whizzer Motorcycles in Cuba, composed of more than 30 drivers of different ages, vocations and professions, united in a kind of goodwill arising from their passion for the world of wheels and engines.

Marcial Flores, a founding member, states that the essence of the group is in the rescue and conservation of motorcycles and in returning their usefulness in order not only to use them as a means of transport but also to enrich the culture of the population in relation to the Whizzer, more than seven decades after its emergence.
The veteran motorbike, powered by the American company Breene-Taylor Engineering Corporation in the first half of the last century, was widely used in the period of World War II and after it. With great acceptance during the war stage, various sources indicate that it could travel almost 200 kilometers with a single liter of gasoline.
Yúnior Ramírez, president of the club, tells us that they give tours of the city, participate in cultural, social and political events, and meet with motorcycle clubs from other provinces, awakening the curiosity of those who see them pass. They have attended the Gibara Film Festival, community projects and wherever they are needed.
Onboard those old pieces, they arrived a few days ago at the Home for Children without Family Care 2 to give them seesaw equipments, and the promise of turning the yard of the house into a mini playground. Also during these days of transport crisis, they think about how to support, with their own efforts, the transfer of people to the Ernesto Guevara Hospital, at some peak hours, perhaps as a tribute to the Guerrilla Commander whose first motorcycle was, as they say, a Whizzer.
In times when the shortcomings put our character to the test, it is an incentive to see a group of people come together to do well to others without mediating personal interests. "Classics of Cuba" is, fortunately for the inhabitants of Las Tunas, a close example; and this reporter assures that as The Little Prince, she saw with the heart what it is invisible to the eyes.
