Majibacoa, Las Tunas.- Manuel Pérez Gallego, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in the province, and Maura Rodríguez Ramírez, coordinator of the CDR, delivered the Vanguard Condition of the organization to the municipality of Majibacoa, the host of the activities.
This municipality has sustained labor in complying with the main indicators of the organization's emulation and has achieved a broad mass movement; in addition to strengthening its structures on the neighborhoods. The 28 de Septiembre Distinction, the maximum award granted by the CDR, was handed over to Siria Olano Moreno, for her merits as a neighborhood leader.
The grassroots structures and members who obtained the award of National Vanguard for their work in the neighborhoods were also recognized; as well as to the most prominent institutions in supporting the organization; among them, 26 Newspaper, the correspondent of Radio Rebelde station and the provincial Radio Victoria station.
Maura Rodríguez Ramírez, provincial coordinator, expressed that in each fought battle by the Revolution, the CDRs have been present and that other tasks such as voluntary blood donations and confrontation to illegalities and social misbehaviors have been added to the surveillance, the main activities of this organization.
She ratified the support of the citizens to the measures adopted by the top authorities of the country, aimed at saving energy in the neighborhoods and the willingness to resist and triumph; as well as the commitment to celebrate the 60th anniversary more strengthened and with superior results.
