Las Tunas, Cuba.- A total of six prioritized works are expected to be completed by the end of this year and the beginning of next, despite the fuel deficit in the territory. The investment process reaches 27 million pesos and is related, fundamentally, with state swine production in El Bleo integral breeding center and the increase in egg production at the José Mastrapa farm.
Works are also executed in the grain processing, drying and packing plant, in the assembly of the fruit and vegetable processing industry in Jobabo, the irrigation system at La Palma productive pole, and at La Cana micro dam up to the Gayol productive pole.
During this visit, the delegate of Agriculture in the province, Omar Pérez López, reported that they will also mount 900 irrigation systems through the Cooperative Rural Development Project in Cuba's Eastern Region (Prodecor), which not only benefits the cultivation areas but also the infrastructure of the drying plant and the post-harvest. He added that there are still 360 systems to install, but there are no difficulties so that before the end of the year they will be assembled.
During the visit to these entities, the authorities exchanged with the workers and were interested in knowing the working conditions, production plans and the salary of each of them.
