During the swearing-in ceremony, they signed the Code of Ethics and reaffirmed their commitment to defend, preserve and maintain fidelity to the principles of justice.
"Assuming this role is a difficult task, one of great dedication and discipline. We must be aware that people's freedom, sometimes, is in our hands. We work as a team to make the best decisions and reduce the risk of making mistakes," says prosecutor Yester Pérez Armas.
He adds that today's population is not the same like the one from years ago, now there is greater knowledge and this forces us to be more prepared and a better professional every day.
Miliannis Pérez de la Rosa confirms the criterion of his colleague when saying that "the responsibility is immense because we have to watch over the legality in our country and mainly in Las Tunas".
The swearing-in ceremony acquires special significance when it coincides with the 66th anniversary of Fidel Castro's brilliant self-defense in the trial for the assault on the Moncada barracks, an allegation known as La historia me absolverá (History will absolve me).
