Las Tunas, Cuba.- Manuel Pérez Gallego, president of the Provincial Defense Council, and Jaime Ernesto Chiang Vega, vice president of that body, witnessed a characterization of the missions and tasks of this Zone as the main bastion of resistance, and met the development of the different subgroups to face any military scenario or not.
The education subgroup explained the guidelines to be followed to guarantee the formation of students in circumstances of a state of war, while that of Food referred to the production and supply of assortments despite some contingency.
The supply point for water guarantee was visited, and the alternative sites for its supply were made known. Moreover, the work with natural medicine was exposed in the medical office; as well as the premises planned for the primary health care that today has the necessary main medicines. All structures implemented their defensive capabilities, while the industry, energy and mining subgroups showed how to keep their services in uncommon conditions.
As the culmination of this day of preparation, greeting the 60th anniversary of the National Revolutionary Militias, prominent persons in this armed institution were recognized; and the responsibility and commitment of not only the management and command bodies, but also of all the people in the fight against the aggressors were reaffirmed.
