Las Tunas, Cuba - Major Yordanis Sánchez Pérez, the second chief of the police system in the province, reported in a public ceremony held on Mártires de Barbados Street, First neighborhood, that in less than 24 hours and with the help of citizens, members of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MININT) found the property on the border with Granma Province.
Alejandro, worker of the Thaba Saddlery Company and self-employed, thanked the members of the PNR and said that he never imagined that he would see the vehicle again. He said that "Professionalism and dedication were elements that distinguished the work of these officers at all times."
Other members of the family, such as her father Jorge Concepción, also expressed their gratitude for the extraordinary work of the police institution; while the neighbor, Raquel Rivero, detailed what this means for the population, since in years before, in a public act, they gave her back her television set, which had been stolen in the same way.
This return is not the only one that has taken place in the territory, since PNR officials report that so far this year a succession of deliveries of stolen objects has marked the work of the Police, not only in the capital municipality. They also warn that these criminal acts have been marked by the lack of protection of property, which is why they called on the population to continue strengthening surveillance in the neighborhood.
