Carúpano port workers have operated in the last days more than 600 tons of construction materials, donated by Venezuela, to compensate the damages caused by Hurricane Irma.

Puerto Padre, Las Tunas.- Housing modules, mixer trucks and other accessories for the recovery work make up the cargo, said Miguel Salas, general director of the port company based in the Juan Claro Cay.

It was the second boat coming from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela that up to Carúpano this week with resources destined to the provinces most affected by the hurricane at its passing through the northern coast of the island last September.
