Adel Yzquierdo Rodríguez, Cuban Minister of Transport, urged to the creation of a repair shop for the periodic maintenance and repairing of the province bus park, during a working visit to this eastern city.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Yzquierdo, together with representatives of the main directorates of the Ministry, checked its operation in this territory, the technical state of the vehicles, its exploitation and availability to provide a continuous service to the population.
During his stay in Las Tunas, he toured the buses base where he was informed of the causes of the paralysis of 18 cars. He also visited the Train and Bus station and observed the constructive actions in a specific section of the south ring road.
Engineers of the Group for Development of Computer Applications (GDAI) presented software developed for the Transport Company here, which provides detailed information on the buses, their schedules, number of trips and other details that ensure greater efficiency of the process and control of resources.
Yzquierdo Rodríguez acknowledged the work carried out in the field in the province and called to continue efforts to improve services. He also insisted on the need to delimit labor competencies: "Drivers are not responsible for repairing vehicles, this is the work of mechanics in motor workshops," he said.
Some 16 buses and 10 trucks that have been assigned to expand the transportation park destined for urban transport will soon arrive to Las Tunas.
