Las Tunas, Cuba.- The company dispatched to Europe more than 3, 400 tons, the largest shipment of the last six years, for the compliance of its plan at 101 percent.
Adalberto Guerrero López, director of this entity, stressed that more than one million pesos in freely convertible currency was added to the State Budget for this concept, an important injection of fresh currency into the national economy.
He praised the effort made by men and women linked to the activity during the last quarter of the year. This period was marked by the affectations of Hurricane Irma and prolonged and sustained rainfall. This forced to redesign the strategy to overcome obstacles and achieve the proposed goal. The base business units (UEB) Comercial and Amancio stood out in this result.
The Company has made the commitment to export 3, 846 tons of the valued fuel during 2018, taking into account the positive experience of the last year, discipline, creativity and the high sense of belonging of workers and managers.
The Las Tunas Integral Forestry Company closed 2017 with positive balances in the productive and economic indicators: the commercial production, sales, income and utilities; as well as in the establishment of 672 hectares of forests.
