The parade is led by the trade union of Education, Science and Sports workers, headed by the provincial baseball team "Los Leñadores", runners-up in the last National Baseball Series.
Simultaneously, in the capitals of the remaining municipalities, similar acts demonstrate to the world the commitment to maintain the principles of national sovereignty and internationalism unchanged, flags that for several days raised the inhabitants of different communities, in which for a few days they have celebrated the World Proletariat Day.
The celebration is preceded by the extraordinary efforts carried out in voluntary work on different fronts related to food production, the sugar harvest, exportable items and those that substitute imports. In addition, the political movement for the 65th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks that, summoned by the leadership of the Party and the Government in the territory, executes multiple works of social benefit, which have received popular support.

Workers of Las Tunas Celebrate May Day
Written by Jorge Pérez CruzLas Tunas.- This May Day, more than 125 thousand inhabitants of Las Tunas, workers and relatives, go to the Major General Vicente García Square, to march together and strongly express their support to the legacy of Fidel, Raúl and the new leadership of the Cuban State, elected in the 9th Legislature of the National Assembly of People's Power, as an unequivocal sign of its unity around the Party and the Revolution.
