Havana, Cuba.- Yovani Aragón, head of the DNB, said that they arranged a friendly match of five games in Nicaragua due to the impossibility of getting visas at the Canadian embassy in Havana, an essential step to attend the Can-Am League.
A DNB note states that Cuba will play as of June 26 in the Central American country three games in different departments, and the last two in Managua, the capital.
The team for that match will be announced after the stay that begins today in Mexico a group of 28 athletes, who will return Cuba on July 1st.
Regarding the usual match against a university squad from United States, Aragón noted the intention of maintaining it, although it is known the obstacle of the embassy of that nation of not granting visas in Cuba. (acn)
