Russia to Prioritize National Interest in Possible Responses to US

Russia's possible respond to new US sanctions will be based on national interest and priorities of this country, assured today the government spokesperson, Dmitri Peskov.

 

Moscow.- According to the news agency Sputnik, the spokesman considered hurried to talk about concrete actions by Moscow, but said any decision will respond to Russia's aspirations and stability.

As planned, a first package of sanctions would enter into effect the day before, but the details were not yet published by the White House.

This day takes place in Geneva, Switzerland, a meeting between the secretary of the Russian National Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev; and his US counterpart, John Bolton, who will address the links between both countries and issues from the international arena. According to Peskov, the Kremlin hopes that the American side will be willing to talk and that will be possible to determine common points and resolve some differences. (PL)
