The extraction activities will be carried out by a local entity, Arabian Nubian Shield Resources, with which the authorities signed a financial agreement that grants the company 35 million dollars of profits.
The measure is part of the Government's interest in increasing the participation of local contractors in key development projects, according to the aforementioned media.
Located in the eastern part of the country, these mines have a probable mineral reserve of 1.05 million ounces (oz) and gold resources amounting to 1.72 million.
