Caracas.- The Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Twitter, assured that "Washington and Bogota have planned all the failed unconstitutional actions of the recent months in Venezuelan territory."

International reactions have not been long in coming, Bolivia's Head of State, Evo Morales, in Twiiter urged Latin American governments to condemn the coup d'etat and prevent violence from taking innocent lives.

'It would be a disastrous precedent to let the coup meddling establish in the region. Peace and talks must be prevailed over the coup', Morales wrote.

For his part, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel rejected the "coup attempt to inflict violence on Venezuela. The traitors who have led this subversive movement have used troops and police with war weapons on a city street to create anxiety and fear."

The Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, also assured that the Venezuelan people have full support and solidarity from Cuba in the face of the right's destabilizing attempts. "Cease the aggressions to the peace of Our America," he said.

Earlier this Tuesday, the Minister of Communication, Jorge Rodríguez, informed the population of the barricading of a small group of military personnel who, by order of Guido, intended to attack the Carlota air base.

In this regard, the highest Venezuelan authorities insist on the need to maintain calm and unity, and assured that the national territory remains in total tranquility, including Caracas. (PL)
