Managua.- A statement from the delegation of the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity (GRUN) to the negotiating table with the opposition Civic Alliance stressed that it is extremely "important to recognize the damage of illegal and unilateral US sanctions, which are contravened in all Nicaraguan sectors, particularly the most vulnerable; acknowledging to be loyal to the Homeland and its people."

We have insisted and insist on the claim that must be made, about the illegal and unilateral sanctions that have been applied on Nicaragua, points out the statement issued in this capital.

The GRUN compared the position of the opponents with bottlenecks (roadblocks that led to acts of violence and terrorism in mid-2018), and at the same time described it as a servile and shameless attitude of those sectors, which then refuse to denounce and eliminate obstructions to roads and other public roads.

Not accepting to include this historical claim (cessation of sanctions), fair and absolutely necessary for the Nicaraguan people, is to be total accomplices of hatred, anxiety, violence, discrimination, terrorism, and the denial of life, the GRUN defined.

The government delegation to the negotiating table reiterated that all the agreements reached and those to be made will be implemented in strict adherence to the Constitution, the laws and the legal system of the country.

In turn, it restated the commitment to comply with the agreement, enforcing each measure, according to the laws, in the times and schedules established by the agreements of the dialogue table. (PL)
