Viajando appLas Tunas remains among the first provinces in the commercialization of reservations for passenger transport in the country through the Viajando app, implemented since last July in the process of computerization of Cuban society.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- Fredy Álvarez León, commercial director of the Viajero Company, told the Cuban News Agency that in the month of August, more than 1,900 tickets were managed through the app from this eastern territory and another 6,780 in its agencies.

Marbelis Lázaro Ávila, the coordinator of the entity in Las Tunas, assured that in July the province was the one that sold the most in the online mode, with 40 percent of the sold reservations through Viajando, which shows the culture won by the people in terms of digitization of services and payments.

She stressed that, a few days ago, the Ministry of Transport warned about the resale in social media of tickets acquired through the application, but to date there are no incidents of this type in the territory.
Lázaro Ávila asserted that the greatest dissatisfactions of the population are related to reimbursement and the purchase of intermediate destinations, an option that was already included in the most recent update of the app, which has been available since September 1.

She explained that work is being done so that the reimbursements can be made in the same way and that the decision to limit them to 24 hours before the date of the trip responds to a resolution issued by the Ministry.

The client Albert Blanco Zayas said he is pleased with the application because he does not have to leave his house to make the purchase of tickets and thus avoid long lines and crowds of people, something favorable due to the situation that the country is experiencing with the COVID-19.

Kenny Ávila Guilarte also claimed to be satisfied with this new option to make reservations for interprovincial trips, because in addition to saving the time that previously used to travel to the agencies, you can process your reservation from the comfort of your home.
