The government of Mexico will reactivate the construction industry, thanks to the implementation of the National Infrastructure Plan and the progress of major projects, confirmed President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Mexico.- During his usual press conference, the Mexican president announced the start of work on the Dos Bocas refinery, the Tren Maya and the airport in Santa Lucia, whose importance, he stressed, is the multiplier effect in other branches of the economy.

López Obrador recognized the application for protection in the advance of the construction of the airport, but discarded that there is under-exercise and that this impacts on the fall of the construction industry.

In relation to the project in Dos Bocas, the president said that there is already movement for construction, while at the end of the studies will be tendered the last stage for the start of work on the Mayan Train.

After overcoming the impediments of the opposition, the constructive actions in Santa Lucia began last October 17, a work that, according to Lopez Obrador, will solve the problem of the saturation of the Mexico City Airport. (PL)
