María Luisa Borjas, a deputy for the Freedom and Refoundation (Free) Party, on Tuesday described the Honduran government headed by Juan Orlando Hernández as a narco-dictatorship.

 

Tegucigalpa.- In the midst of protests demanding the resignation of President, she expressed, through a message on Twitter, that Hernández violates the Constitution, the laws and human life.

"With the mechanics of the murder of Magdaleno Meza this illegitimate regime has eliminated article 66 of the Constitution and has established the Death Penalty," said the deputy in reference to the murder days ago of one of the key witnesses to convict Juan Antonio Hernandez, brother of the Honduran president.

Shaken by this scandal, several prosecutors point out that the president received financing from drug trafficking for his electoral campaigns and in mobilization, the people demand his resignation.

The secretary of the Free Popular Power, Carlos Eduardo Reina, calls for a general strike, with the purpose of removing the narco-government from the National Party and stressed that the future is in the hands of the Hondurans. (PL)
