In a message sent through her account in the social network Twitter, Rodriguez rejected the threats expressed the eve by U.S. President, Donald Trump, when he declared that "the U.S. has many options on Venezuela, including a possible military option if necessary."
The threats of the White House occur after the Bolivarian Government did not heed the 'warnings' of Washington against the elections for the National Constituent Assembly, where more than eight million Venezuelans cast their votes.
Rodríguez stressed the people decided to elect the ANC as the only way to preserve peace and the sovereignty of Venezuela, which became target of vandalic actions over the last few months, promoted by extremist sectors of the ultra-right opposition, leaving a balance of over 100 dead and about two thousand wounded.
In another of her messages in Twitter, former Foreign Minister of Venezuela emphasized that "the ANC will act to accompany head of State in the defense of our beloved Venezuela."
She also said that, for representing the highest post of the homeland, 'all unilateral sanctions against President Maduro, are an offense to the people of Venezuela'.
"Offenses and aggresions against the top investiture of the nation will be repudiated by the anti-imperialist people of Venezuela," assured Rodríguez. (PL)
