More Than 4,000 Terrorists Evacuated from Syrian Eastern Qalamoun

Terrorists and their families left Eastern Qalamoun, northeast of Damascus, to north Syria, under an agreement signed with the Army, which number of evacuees has reached more than 4,000.

 

Damascus.- The agreement also includes the transfer of hundreds of extremists and their families heading for Jarablus, north of Aleppo, and the delivery of their heavy and medium weapons.

After surrendering to the Syrian Army, many of these Takfiri elements opted to take advantage of the amnesty law and join the social life in the communities where they live or join the ranks of the government troops.

The government forces detected yesterday outgoing terrorists in 13 buses, three explosive belts and several modern wireless telecommunication devices.

After a third group of radicals left Ruhayba, the most populous town in Eastern Qalamoun, residents held a demonstration in which they greeted the expulsion of the extremists and welcomed the soldiers.

With flags of this Arab nation and photographs of President, Bashar al-Assad, the settlers ratified their support for the fight against terrorism and the preservation of the sovereignty of this state. (PL)
