Headquarters of the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the support provided by the Netherlands to terrorist groups in the war and called for the Netherlands to be held accountable for its interference.

Damascus.- The information contained in the report issued on December 12th by the Independent Investigative Committee on the Non-Lethal Aid Program in Syria shows the involvement of the Dutch government in encouraging terrorism, the Foreign Ministry considered in a statement published on its account on Twitter.

The information specified that what was revealed by the report is a simple chapter of a series of legal, political, and moral scandals perpetrated by the Dutch government.

It stressed that the aforementioned Committee recognized that the support provided to the armed opposition, violates international laws, and by this, the public opinion of the Dutch population has been manipulated to hide the use of this material by terrorist organizations.

The report confirmed what Syria has been denouncing for years about the support offered to terrorist groups, under different pretexts, by Western countries, including the Netherlands.

The Foreign Ministry concluded its statement by demanding that Western countries should be held accountable for their violations of international law and UN Security Council resolutions on the fight against terrorism. (PL)
