Belarusian and Russian Defense Ministers Viktor Khrenin and Sergey Shoigu

Belarusian and Russian Defense Ministers Viktor Khrenin and Sergey Shoigu, respectively, discussed the strengthening of mutual defense, Belarussian Defense Ministry Spokesman Valeri Revenko said on Monday.

Minsk.- As Revenko wrote on his Twitter account, Khorenin and Shoigu discussed aspects of military-technical cooperation and strengthening the defense capabilities of the two states.

Shoigu arrived in Minsk on Monday to attend the talks between Russian and Belarusian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Aleksandr Lukashenko, respectively.

The Russian defense minister traveled to Minsk two weeks ago, when he signed a protocol with his Belarusian counterpart to amend the interstate agreement on guarantees of jointly regional military security.

At that time, he also met with President Lukashenko. (PL)
