Increaed Latin America import of Russian fertilizers

The financial director of the Russian fertilizer manufacturer Phosagro, Aleksander Sharabaiko, informed that the company increased exports to Latin America by 50% in the first four months of this year.

Moscow.- Moreover, in the same period, the executive noted, the group’s sales increased by 8,0% compared to 2022, even though Europe bought 10% less Russian fertilizers, the TASS news agency said on Monday.

Supplies to Southeast Asia are lower than last year, however, increased to North America and shipments to India grew more than five times (up to 2,7 million tons), and high volumes are maintained for that country this year, the senior official detailed.

Sharabaiko recalled that the priority is the domestic market and whatever is left after satisfying farmers’ demands, it is exported.

We are now registering increased interest from India and Latin America. In Europe, interest has dropped to some extent,” he added. (PL)
