Extraordinary session of the Cuban Council of State.

The Cuban Council of State examined four draft laws in an extraordinary session that will be submitted to the deputies for consideration during the 5th Ordinary Session of the National Assembly of People's Power in its 10th Legislature.

Havana, Cuba.- Chaired by Esteban Lazo Hernandez, President of the Council of State and the National Assembly of People's Power, the meeting delved into the preliminary drafts of the Cuban Sports System, the Code of Children, Adolescents, and Youth, the General Regime of Contraventions and Administrative Sanctions, and the Civil Registry.

Authorities from the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation (INDER by its Spanish acronym) delved into the main features of the draft law on the Cuban Sports System and the modifications made to this proposal, based on the experts' opinions, specialists, and the public during the different consultations held.

Lazo highlighted the broad and fruitful debate developed over months of consultations with experts, athletes, organizations, and the public, which enriched the legislative proposals.

Education Minister, Naima Trujillo Barreto, explained the adjustments incorporated into the Code of Children, Adolescents, and Youth, as well as the changes made during specialized consultations and following the opinions issued by the deputies; a bill of great importance to our society.

During the event, the Minister of Justice, Oscar Manuel Silvera Martinez, shared the specifics of the bills on the General Regime of Contraventions and Administrative Sanctions and the Civil Registry, essential regulations for the legal system.
