Ethiopian Finance Minister Ahmed Shide held talks with senior officials from the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) focused on deepening bilateral cooperation and advancing key infrastructure projects.
Addis Ababa.- The Addis Ababa Embassy in Beijing, quoted by Fana Broadcasting Corporate S.C., stated that the meeting addressed the progress of ongoing initiatives, particularly the Bishoftu International Airport Project, and broader actions to improve Ethiopia’s connectivity with Africa and globally.
Shide underscored the strategic importance of sustained investment in infrastructure, noting that these projects are critical to accelerating economic integration and regional trade.
The finance minister urged continued collaboration with ICBC to ensure the timely implementation of joint initiatives that support Ethiopia’s development agenda.
The meeting also reviewed the current status of financial agreements related to the airport project and outlined the agenda for its next implementation.
