National Assembly of the Peoples' Power.

The president of Cuba's National Assembly of the People’s Power, Esteban Lazo, convened the Fifth Ordinary Session of this body, in its 10th term.

Havana, Cuba.- The plenary session will take place at the Havana International Conference Center, commencing on July 16, to discuss the evaluation of the compliance and impact of the Government Program measures aimed at correcting distortions and boosting the economy.

They will also analyze the performance of the national economy at the end of the first half of 2025, as well as provide an update on the execution of the 2025 State Budget and the liquidation of the 2024 Budget.

In addition, other processes will take place, such as the accountability of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation, and the report on the exercise of the highest oversight of the Ministry of Transportation, as well as the analysis and discussion of several bills.

On July 14 and 15, pre-meetings of the Cuban legislative standing committees will be held to analyze more than 80 issues on the national agenda related to the Cuban population. (PL)
