Law on Cuban Sports System is in the process of consultation.

The draft bill on the Cuban Sports System, the first of its kind to regulate everything related to this activity in the country, will be submitted to experts' consultation from December 12 to February 15.

Motocroos returned to Las Tunas

After eight years of inactivity, motocross returned to the 28 de Septiembre Circuit, located in El Cornito, with the fifth stop of the national circuit and in salute to the 64th anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR).

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The spectacle of the pilots is the main attraction but it is important to highlight the work of mechanics, trainers, judges, and insurance personnel. Also, the support of the family is an extra motivation for the athletes in a high-risk sport.

Las Tunas enjoyed a speed weekend, while the commitment remains to recover the vitality of a discipline that is a tradition in the province.

Para-athlete Ever René Castro.

Fate would have it that on his birthday, Ever René Castro Martínez became the first para-athlete from Las Tunas to participate in a competition under the five rings, after taking fifth place in the javelin throwing, category F-41, in Paris 2024, with a throw of 34.34 meters (m).

Yander Herrera Machín took fifth place in the final of the 110 hurdles-meters (99 centimeters) of the U-20 World Athletics Championships, thanks to a time of 13.46 seconds (s), a personal best for the young sprinter from Las Tunas in this category.
