Acinox Las Tunas is the third entity in the province to join the circular economy, after the recent opening of a retail outlet, where useful articles for the population are offered.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- Metal structures for the construction of cubes, trusses, and rings are among the items produced, as well as hinges of different dimensions for metal doors.
Acinox Las Tunas uses raw materials from Antillana de Acero, which does not meet the requirements to fulfill its state orders.
2022 was the first experience of this factory in the circular economy when it was paralyzed for more than six months due to the energy contingency. By harnessing the skills and talents of its employees, it earned more than 60 million pesos in profits.
The provincial hospitals benefited from the contribution of cradles and serum carriers; Hydraulic Resources, with the repair of engines in pumping stations, and the installation of fuel oil and diesel; in addition to the delivery of eight thousand fishing gear for the capture of lobster and shrimp.
The experience continued in 2023 when it contributed over 250 million pesos for services rendered to various entities in the province and other territories.
The Comandante Francisco Cabrera Metal Structures Company and Ludema Furniture had already opened retail sale points to benefit the Las Tunas population. (ACN)
