A caravan of young people and veterans traveled this morning through Las Tunas, from Cañada Honda to El Yunque, materializing the reissue of the libertarian delegation that in January 1959 led Fidel Castro and his daring rebels.
Las Tunas, Cuba. They arrived at Plaza Martiana wrapped in the ardor of these times. There, accompanied by a representation of the people of Las Tunas, Walter Simón Noris, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in the province, gave a youth leader the flag that accredits the feat.
New members of the PCC and the Young Communist League (UJC) were given membership cards, while poetry and music enlivened the morning. Milena Pérez Correoso, the first secretary of the UJC in these lands, delivered the central words, ratifying the commitment and defending the strength of the future.
Very close by, a simultaneous chess game invited people to participate. The work of a Revolution that has already stood for 66 years was celebrated in various ways.
