The provincial celebration for the start of the school year took place this Monday at the Toma de Las Tunas semi-boarding school. The event brought together more than 600 students, teachers, and family members, and became a day of joy and hope.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- The highest authorities of Las Tunas attended the act and highlighted the importance of education as a fundamental pillar for the social and economic development of the territory. In their speeches, they emphasized the commitment of the Government to improve educational conditions and guarantee an environment conducive to learning.

The semi-boarding school is in optimal conditions to receive students; classrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and recreational areas were repaired. The effort seeks to create a more welcoming and motivating environment, which encourages the comprehensive development of schoolchildren.

The emotions were overwhelming: the palpable joy in the air at the reunion of old friends and the occasional tear that appeared at the thought of temporarily saying goodbye to home… Everything was experienced today, at the beginning of a daily adventure in which school becomes a second home and the family must support their children's growth with love and perseverance.

The educational authorities called parents and guardians to get involved in school life and maintain fluid communication between home and school. This will allow a closer follow-up of the academic and emotional development of the students.

In this school calendar, the Ministry of Education promotes new goals to raise the quality of the teaching-learning processes. Innovative programs will be implemented to strengthen both academic performance and comprehensive training.
