Cuba marks World Population Day this July 11.

World Population Day is celebrated every July 11th, as an initiative of the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Las Tunas, Cuba.– Its primary objective is to raise awareness of all the issues currently affecting the world's population, especially those related to its growth and nations' development.

Under the slogan "Empowering youth so they can form the families they want in a just and hopeful world," and in facing of global decline in fertility rates, the activities for the 2025 date highlight these challenges, to ensure that young people have the rights, resources, and opportunities to decide their future by themselves.
