Cristina Fernández with lawyer Gregorio Dalbón, one of her defenders.

Lawyer Gregorio Dalbón, one of the defenders of former Argentine President Cristina Fernández, launched a legal and political offensive that includes complaints in international courts, as well as the global #CristinaLibre campaign that continues today in Spain.

Buenos Aires.- During the campaign that kicked off on Wednesday in Madrid’s Plaza Callao, the jurist will tour cities, international forums, newsrooms, and parliaments to denounce what he called “the breakdown of the rule of law in Argentina,” he explained on Thursday on his social networks.

Dalbón, who has already made a presentation to the International Criminal Court, said that the ruling of the highest Argentine court “is not the end of the road”, but “the crudest and most brutal point of a political, judicial and media persecution that will be disarmed by the Law”, he stressed.

He affirmed that he has already adopted a preliminary measure to request the review of the conviction of the former president before international organizations, and warned the International Court of The Hague that there was a sentence condemning a president of the Nation.

At the same time, he warned the international organization that “due process is not respected, that the lawyers and Cristina herself are not notified”. The Inter-American Court of Justice has also been notified, he added. (PL)
