The Venezuela-Cuba Business Opportunities Forum will meet in Caracas to promote the presence of Venezuelan products and services at the upcoming Havana International Fair (FIHAV).
Caracas.- Venezuelan authorities from the Foreign Trade Bank, Business, and Export Promotion Bank, and diplomats from both countries, among others, participated in the meeting.
The Binational Chamber was launched by the president of the Venezuelan-Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Pilar González.
The head of the economic and commercial office of the Havana embassy in Caracas, Rubén Ramos, explained to Prensa Latina, that the Forum is part of an agenda of activities prepared by the diplomatic headquarters, to convene and publicize the celebration of the 40th anniversary of FIHAV, and detailed that this event, which is recognized as one of the most important of its kind in Latin America, will be held this year in its traditional space in the Cuban capital between November 4th and 9th.
Ramos pointed out that the closing program included online sectorial business forums with the pharmaceutical, agricultural, cultural, construction, industrial, and other sectors. They also covered the development of business forums in several Venezuelan states, with entrepreneurs interested in identifying trade and business opportunities with Cuba.
Regarding Venezuela’s participation in FIHAV next November, Ramos said that this event is of great importance “since it is one of Cuba’s main economic partners,” and commented that they are preparing to attend with an official delegation and a business delegation, and predicted that this year “it will be one of the most important in terms of the presence of Venezuelan businessmen” at the Havana International Fair.
