The proposals of the Titón cinema are an attraction for the families of Las Tunas, presenting a varied program of films for all ages, as one of the programs for this summer.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- Located on the third floor of the Tunas Cinema Theatre and renowned for its specialization in the seventh art, the Titón Hall offers a wide range of films, from feature films for children in the morning, to the development of cinema clubs in the afternoons and Cuban films, horror and other genres, at night.
As one of the main activities for the enjoyment of family and friends, the cinemas and video theatres in the different municipalities of Las Tunas also have a film program for July and August; an outreach agenda that reaches the most remote communities.
In addition to the possibility of attending the dark cinemas, Las Tunas - in "summer mode" - has around twenty fixed areas where cultural, recreational, and sporting activities take place, including the gardens of the Leonardo MacKenzie Grant Multi-sports Hall and the Plaza del Tanque, located in the populous district of Buena Vista, with options for children and young people.
Lianet Pérez Cano, head of the Department of Information and Social Communication in the capital municipality, told the Cuban News Agency that the government structures have designed a strategy that favors greater access for the population of Las Tunas to recreational and gastronomic services, in an inclusive and participatory way, despite the complex economic situation the country is going through.
With an important community projection and focused on the defense of the traditions that identify the national culture, this eastern Cuban province had the good fortune to begin the summer season with the Jornada Cucalambeana, the Supreme Festival of the Cuban Peasantry, which marked the route for a period of healthy recreation for the whole family.
Institutions such as the provincial branch of the Nicolás Guillén Foundation, the Houses of Culture, the José Martí provincial library, and the Hermanos Saíz Association, in this territory, attract the attention and attendance of young and old with summer workshops dedicated to literature, music, plastic arts, theatre, and much more.
Meanwhile, the educational centers serve as a stage for the main recreational activities in the neighborhoods with the leadership of the José Martí Brigade of Art Instructors and cultural promoters.
The summer strategy of Las Tunas emphasizes the importance of each organization and entity fulfilling its duty so that the days are spent in a peaceful environment, with healthy recreation and the participation of the whole family, emphasized Pérez Cano.
