The Summer Literary Crusade arrives in the communities with several propossals.

Las Tunas' branch of the Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS in Spanish) and the Provincial Center for Book and Literature -in collaboration with the Sanlope publishing house and the Pablo Armando Fernández literary promotion center- are promoting a Literary Crusade this summer, which reaches different communities in the territory, encouraging healthy recreation among the population.

The Summer Literary Crusade arrives in the communities with several propossals.Las Tunas, Cuba.- The most recent activity took place in the Cantarrana neighborhood, in the Primero district of this capital city, bringing together troubadours, oral storytellers, and writers, with varied proposals.

Ana Margarita Arada Clavería (president of the AHS here) presented, for example, the anthology Conteo regresivo (Countdown), which brings together the work of young, avant-garde poets from Las Tunas. One of them, Tomás Escobar, shared verses of his own, included in the compilation. Workers of the Fulgencio Oroz bookshop also sold books and educational materials for all preferences.

For his part, the singer-songwriter Jesús Ricardo Pérez Cecilia performed songs such as Lo feo, by Teresita Fernández. Likewise, Lázaro Rojas and Saimy K. Torres brought the audience closer to universes of fantasy and useful teachings through the magic of oral storytelling. And the young Esteban Daniel García, who won a mention in the last edition of the national competition Principito, read his texts.

The inhabitants of Circunscripción 7, Consejo Popular 1, were grateful for the meeting, which ended with the performance - in the voice of Pérez Cecilia - of Dame la mano y Danzaremos, a poem by Gabriela Mistral, masterfully set to song by Teresita Fernández.

According to Saimy K. Torres, director of the Pablo Armando Fernández Literary Promotion Centre, the summer readings are another of the proposals on the agenda to get closer to the family of Las Tunas during the summer period.
