Electronic payment methods for fuel purchases

Between September 15 and 30, cash payment at Las Tunas fuel service centers will be eliminated, leaving the electronic channels as the only way to purchase at those stations.

Las Tunas, Cuba.– The CIMEX Corporation announced through its Facebook page a national schedule during September and October, from which customers will only be able to pay for fuel at the Cimex service stations through chip cards, national and international magnetic stripe cards that operate in the country, and using disposable prepaid cards, electronic pins through the Transfermóvil application, or rechargeable chip cards, among others, the entity explained.

CIMEX highlighted that disposable prepaid cards are marketed in its commercial network. The sale has been extended to more than a thousand of its establishments, as well as through accredited ETECSA telecommunications agents. “Disposable prepaid cards, the entity said, have undergone technological improvements: the possibility of making partial and total dispatches, unification at the time of dispatch of up to five cards, and the incorporation of the QR code for both downloading and return, which streamlines business processes.”

In addition, they developed the Desechables app for Android phones that allows balance inquiries, checking the activation of the disposable card, and consulting the operations carried out. Regarding the electronic PIN for fuel payment through Transfermóvil, they explained that it is an “application that has the facility of allowing operations to be carried out without activating mobile data. The PIN can be purchased for the desired amount.”

The last mean of payment incorporated by CIMEX is the rechargeable chip card. Among its advantages, it allows you to recharge your balance as many times as necessary without limits on the amounts, its stability of operation without the need for connectivity, and it does not require presenting ownership for its use. "The acquisition of the rechargeable chip card is done free of charge at FINCIMEX offices throughout the country (in addition to 22 new units in Havana), and to load and recharge you must go to authorized commercial establishments," concluded.
