Based on a need raised by the country's management to recover waste from the production of certain entities, the retail store of the Las Tunas Stainless-Steel Company (Acinox) was opened.
Las Tunas.- Products that only reached state entities and micro, small, and medium-sized companies are on sale in the establishment.
Dunia Cuenca Ricardo, marketing specialist at Acinox explained: “We are using raw material from Antillana de Acero, in Havana, that does not meet the physical-chemical characteristics for the state-ordered production. Therefore, we took on the task of making secondary products.”
“We have developed products in the form of high-resistance sets for the manufacture of dies, trusses, and rings. This resource cannot be used only for roof casting. Metal hinges of different sizes for metal doors also come out of our machining workshop.”
As the industry's production is revived, the supply to the population will be greater, thus guaranteeing a greater number of bars for the production of fences each month, which is the most in demand.
Open to the local and foreign public every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., they try to enhance the quality of connectivity to facilitate customer payments through the EnZona platform.
Ludema Furniture and the Comandante Francisco (Paco) Cabrera Metal Structures Enterprise (Metunas) are taking part too in this initiative to create retail stores. They all have the added purpose of increasing incomes.
