The first secretary of the National Committee of the Young Communist League (UJC), Diosvany Acosta Abrahante, began in Las Tunas a journey through different territories in the eastern region of the country. For this reason, in an intense day of work he toured part of the north and center of the province.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- In the municipality of “Jesús Menéndez,” he participated in the flagging of the mechanization platoon of the Orlando Pantoja Agricultural Polytechnic; and at the Antonio Guiteras sugar mill, he exchanged with those who maintain themselves in the most difficult tasks within the industry.
He also joined the delivery of the Jóvenes por la Vida (Youth for Life) Distinction at the Puerto Padre’s Branch of the University of Medical Sciences; and the hearty dialogue in the San Antonio de la Caldosa neighborhood, in this city, about how necessary it is to contribute in these intense moments for Cuba and its children.
He also toured the Labiofam Company, an entity in which he learned of constant work in import substitution and pondered local products. They also headed for the headquarters of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS).
Through his social media accounts, the leader recognized the effort of young people from Las Tunas in these difficult times.
"Do things that, at all times, make you feel useful," he said and highlighted the dedication of those who are leading this time in food production, support for the sugar harvest, or health work in order to defeat the COVID-19. His message confirms the commitment of young people to Cuba and its Revolution.
