The 5th International Scientific Convention and Expo Fair 2025, held at the University of Las Tunas with the participation of 37 state-owned companies and new economic actors, concluded with a positive outcome. Almost 30 entities exhibited their proposals at stands, competing for awards based on creativity, professionalism, and outstanding results.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- During the closing ceremony, awards were presented to initiatives that stood out for their excellence. The Product Quality Award was given to the L. 250 Mortar and L. Mortar from ACINOX, evaluated based on criteria of functionality, innovation, and contribution to the National Housing Program.

The Convention concluded with a commitment to continue promoting collaboration between universities, the business sector, and society.The Natural Beverages and Soft Drinks Company received the award for best commercial management, thanks to its product diversification strategy and increased sales through joint work with the University of Las Tunas.

The Popularity Award, granted by public vote, went to the young entrepreneurs of the CREART project, who expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the event and highlighted the value of the experience. Copextel was also recognized with the Best Stand in Identity and Visual Design for its innovative proposal and ability to connect with attendees.

The official closing ceremony was led by Osbel Lorenzo Rodríguez, First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party in Las Tunas; Yelenis Tornet Menéndez, governor; and Dr. Yoenia Virgen Barbán Sanduy, the rector of the University and president of the Organizing Committee.

Over several days, the Convention brought together speakers from Cuba and abroad in a space for reflection and collaboration. Eight workshops were held on topics such as vocational training, pedagogical innovation, physical culture, and social, computer, and economic sciences, and their integration with key social processes.
