This Saturday, the Julio Antonio Mella Stadium, “the enchanted forest of the Las Tunas Leñadores (Lumberjacks),” experienced another day that will go down in history, with the opening of the 3rd Cuban Baseball Elite League.

Las Tunas, Cuba.– Just after noon, the ceremony was held, preluding to the inaugural game between Leñadores and Tigres (Ciego de Ávila Tigers), which ended in the first victory of the Las Tunas Lumberjacks.

There was a lot of color and display of various artistic expressions and recreational activities. The fans of the local team were there, faithful to the players who taught them how to win.
