Old and recent claims related to Aqueduct and Sewer are resolved. |
Cuba's economic limitations due to various causes have not prevented voters from different communities in Las Tunas from receiving good news in the current accountability process of the People’s Power delegates.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- After repeated complaints about obstructions in the pipes to evacuate wastewater, the Government and its corresponding organizations decided to prioritize the work with the help of local resources and the technical labor force.
In addition to the affectation of 15,000 homes connected to the pipes linked to the main collector, it is common to find sewage in different streets of the provincial capital, with the consequent negative effect on health and the affectation of roads.
In addition to unclogging the pipes, investments will be made to dredge a ditch that crosses several districts and to rehabilitate three bridges essential for residents’ passage to various parts of the city.
Repairs are also planned in the central pipe connected to the aqueduct to ready it so that, when the water pressure increases, the liquid also reaches the highest places.
Water distribution in Las Tunas has also been a claim in different districts during several periods. The issue was raised again in the current process but the problem will soon have a solution.
The 10 electric pumps needed for the stability of the water supply are already in this eastern territory, where work is being done on the technological review and the connection between equipment and installation of the slate in the El Rincón system, an enclave that houses the water treatment plant and the dam that is the largest source for the city.
When the technology is ready and enters into operation, it will be possible to pump 500 liters per second, which doubles the current.
The current accountability process began on September 20 and will end this November.
