The Executive Bureau of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) decided to grant the municipality of Colombia the venue for the main activities in Las Tunas for July 26, the 72nd anniversary of the assault on the Moncada barracks in Santiago de Cuba and the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks in Bayamo.
Las Tunas, Cuba.- Progress is evident in the territory in the provision of basic services, the fight against illegal activities, and fundamental indicators in the social sector, such as reducing infant and maternal mortality to zero, as well as the territory's sporting results.
Similarly, the municipality's good socio-political climate was taken into account, as was the assurance of the actions of the Tarea de Grandes political movement, and the permanent link between its leaders and the population was recognized.
In addition, the party body decided to recognize the work carried out during this stage by the territories of Manatí and Las Tunas, which have remained at the forefront with commendable results in the main indicators of economic, political, and social efficiency.
The provincial bureau of the PCC also agreed to convey its congratulations to all the people of Las Tunas, who, together with the Party and government leadership, have faced the difficult situation the country is going through with nobility, commitment, and confidence, and urged them to promote multiple activities in honor of this important anniversary and to maintain their commitment to the Cuban Revolution.
The commemoration will encourage people to continue taking action in all the aforementioned areas and motivate them to maintain a high level of commitment and loyalty to the Revolution, with the power of unity.
