The Parlatino President addressed the 11th IPTP Plenary Session.

The president of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (Parlatino), Rolando González, said here today, that the possibility of achieving the announced goals and expanding cooperation "is to admit our diversities and be able to grow together respecting them.

Phnom Penh.- González made the statement while addressing the 11th Plenary Session of the International Congress Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP), which for two days was held in this capital with the attendance of leaders and delegates from 58 national legislatures and international organizations.

The head of Parlatino stressed the defense and consolidation of multilateralism, adherence to the United Nations Charter and international law, and cooperation and partnership for coexistence and inclusive connectivity are essential today.

Rolando González, also the president of the International Relations Commission of the National People’s Power Assembly of Cuba, later thanked Cambodia “for transferring its experiences in the difficult art of building lasting peace and undertaking development” of the country. (PL)
