The Executive Bureau of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) decided to grant the municipality of Jesús Menéndez the venue of the Las Tunas central activities for July 26, the 71st anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.

Las Tunas, Cuba.- For the designation, the party leadership body took into account the results of the main economic, political, and social tasks during the last stage and the comprehensive work of the PCC, the Young Communist League, and the mass organizations of the territory, in the unity of the different factors.

In addition to the good sociopolitical climate, the municipality stands out for placing eight economic indicators in the first three places at the provincial level, including net sales, commercial circulation, and the budget deficit.

The fulfillment of the milk and beef collection, the planting campaign plans for various crops, the completion of the agricultural contracting process, and the progress in key sectors such as Education and Health were also considered.

In this regard, the Bureau agreed to convey congratulations to the residents of “Jesús Menéndez,” and calls on them to remain at the forefront in all spheres, promote various activities in greeting the important anniversary, and maintain a high commitment to the Cuban Revolution.
