New pumping system.

The team of 26 visited the El Rincón dam grounds a few months ago. The difference today is extremely noticeable. And not only because of the installation of the new pumps, which work with quality and stability; but also because of the work on infrastructure, cleaning, painting, and everything that makes the hydraulic complex a better place.

Mirtha García Rojas, provincial delegate of Hydraulic Resources, said that “the benefits are already being seen and it is a dream for us, the hydraulic workers, to provide a service like this.”

“We can talk about places like the Las 40 district, where water had not arrived for more than two years and now it is stable.” The distribution circuits have been restored as they were previously established. While the facility has a roof that protects the equipment, the perimeter fence was rescued, and even a sidewalk facilitates the entrance to part of the site, a civil and technological rehabilitation that means a profound transformation in the dynamics of supply to more than 125 thousand inhabitants of Las Tunas.

The main political and governmental authorities of the territory were on the tour, congratulated those present, thanked the efforts of the hydraulic workers of Las Tunas, and called for the care of the equipment and the saving of resources.

The effort of all involved was recognized.

Walter Simón Noris, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, said that “investment, repair, and maintenance actions have been developed that were a bit dormant in the territory.”

“The commitment is to continue improving; there is still a group of communities in the north of the province that receive water by train, we have to take care of that. There are also many open investments that we must close.”

“It is worth recognizing the effort of the builders and all those involved in the connection of the main conductors of the city and we have the potential to do many more things, and with quality, in the year 2025.”

The works included the infrastructure.
