Soberón emphasized that the legalization process has not stopped and will not stop in the future

Those in charge of the document legalization office at the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) currently work on new alternatives to speed up the process, given the increase in requests.

Havana, Cuba.- Ernesto Soberón, the General Director of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad, informed on Twitter that to deal with the exponential and sustained overtime requests increase in legalization, a new department began to offer services at MINREX on April 17.

So, the number of workers was raised to attend this activity.

Soberón emphasized that the legalization process has not stopped and will not stop in the future and restated that the processing of documents could only be conducted by the legal offices, duly accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He warned the citizens that any offer related to “alleged procedures carried out by persons not belonging to the legal offices, mediating payment for this service,” is an attempted fraud.

The officer invited those interested to see the website legalizaciones.minrex.gob.cu; or telephone contact 78310057 and also the following e-mail: daccre-poblacion@minrex.gob.cu. (PL)
